• The purpose of this site it to offer a toolbox of research-based literacy interventions which are easily accessible and organized based on the 5 basic literacy skills.
• The information is presented as a link to a reputable academic intervention website or the information is from a publication with the source cited.
• A complete description of the intervention is provided, along with any materials needed (blackline masters when necessary), implementation guidelines (rate and duration) as well as how the intervention should look.
• The Thompson School District has invested in many great research-based intervention programs. This toolbox gives you a whole host of interventions with solid research behind them; consider this the a la carte of interventions rather than a pre-packaged, off-the-shelf program.
• This is a living resource, so if you have come across a website or other resource which you found to be very helpful in your reading instruction, let us know and we would be happy to inlcude it on this space.
